Ford Motor Company Fund and the Hispanic Federation launch the sixth year of Lucha Contra el Hambre, a hunger relief campaign to help ensure that the most vulnerable families in New York City and its surrounding areas have access to food.
More than 1.4 million people in New York City face food insecurity, including 1 in 4 of the city’s children according to the New York Coalition Against Hunger’s 2014 Annual Hunger Survey. Among Latinos, approximately 2 out of 5 struggle to afford needed food for their families, as per the Food Bank's NYC Hunger Experience. In response to this situation, Ford and the Hispanic Federation have provided thousands of meals to Latinos living in underserved areas through Lucha Contra el Hambre.
